You GET To save yourself

Here are the 5 things I would do right now if I wasn’t where I wanted to be.

1.What is the vision you have for your life? You can use these 6 pillars of your life to contemplate this 1. Health/Wellbeing 2. Career/Work/Mission 3. Relationships 4. Personal Power (time, boundaries, ) 5. Spiritual / Emotional 6. Financial

  • In many ways, I can see the vision I had for my life wasn’t my own. It was one given to me and it wasn’t until my late 30’s I even thought enough to think about this differently.

    Go to college.

    Meet someone.

    Date that someone.

    Marry that someone.

    Get a house.

    Keep climbing the ladder.

    Have kids. Okay done!!

It’s no wonder that once our kids are out of the “baby” phase we start to contemplate our own lives, purpose, and start to think about - is this really what I want?

It makes sense you finally have “space” in your mind to even consider it.

By creating a vision you are activating part of your brain. And your brain will help to show you opportunities you didn’t even know were there.

2. Based on your vision, where are you today?

Take inventory of where you are right now in your life. You can use 6 pillars of life to do this.

Be honest where are you today based on where you want to shift.

This should show you the gaps. Don’t put meaning to “gaps”. This is simply a lens to help you get where you want to go.

3. Take action

Based on the gaps come up with 3 actions you can take to start making progress towards the life you want.

Put a date to these actions and commit to them.

4. Do you have beliefs that come up keeping you stuck?

When you review your vision, your gaps and your actions - do you have thoughts, beliefs, or emotions that come up?

Any negative self talk?

Write them all down.

Are they true?

5. What habits, ways of being, thoughts, or beliefs are keeping you where you are?

See it isn’t a capability issue most of time.

It’s habitual ways of being, it’s habits keeping you stuck. And most of the time these habits start with thoughts and become a belief.

Oh and a belief is simply something you have believed for an extended period of time but this doesn’t mean it is true.

Do these steps and get closer to living in a way that is aligned to you!!!!
